Comments from our volunteers about their experiences working with us:
"I love it, particularly the way volunteers are encouraged and organised ...I have learnt a lot and met a lot of lovely people."
"Thank you for all the wonderful days searching for rare butterflies on old mining sites - it was fun and informative too!"
What is Volunteering about?
We value our volunteers:
Cornwall Butterfly Conservation has put a great deal of effort in over the past two years to recruit, support and retain volunteers. In July 2014 the committee made a decision to appoint a paid part time volunteer coordinator to take responsibility for this priority area of the charities work. CBC now has over 200 active volunteers.
Who are our volunteers?
The CBC volunteers are a mixed age-range, keen and friendly group whose time can be called upon to freely support our many lepidoptera events across the county. The group operate all year round and in every part of Cornwall. Everyone's skills are valued and full training and instruction is always given.
