Bodmin Moor Butterfly search day (8)

Meet at South Penquite Farm, Blisland, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL30 4LH

We will be searching for Marsh Fritillary butterflies at a beautiful location on Bodmin Moor. Local people and beginners are especially welcome as our trained volunteers will be pleased to support you.  

This event is part of the Heritage Lottery Funded  'All the Moor Butterflies' project.

If you volunteer to help us fund raise at this event you will get Free Entry (including food). We need all the help we can get because there is an amazing incentive: Barclays Bank in Liskeard have offered to double the money that we raise on this day!

Silver-studded Blue butterfly survey day at this old mining site. When we searched for butterflies here in 2015 we just missed the flight period for this priority species. So, we are going back for another careful look. (The back up day for this event is Wednesday 12/07/17).

We will be attending the Monkey Sanctuary's Native Wildlife Day with our fundraising and information stand. We are hoping to have some live moths and also to lead a butterfly & moth walk in the afternoon. We would like to have a rota of volunteers to cover this, with slots covering a two hour period. This means that you will still have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful Wildlife Gardens and check out the sea view!

We will be attending the wonderful Apple Day again with our sales stall and also an exhibition of live moths and caterpillars to enthral the public.
